What the National Weather Service wrote
An upper trough across the central CONUS instigated numerous clusters of convection across the Southern Plains. One of these clusters contained supercell storm structures as it moved from Kay and Noble Counties into portions of central Oklahoma during the evening of the 25th. Large to very large hail and significant damaging wind gusts were observed along the path of this storm cluster, including across northern/central portions of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area.
